Aurum Consulting Engineers Monterey Bay, Inc. has become one of the preeminent consulting electrical engineering firms in the San Francisco and Monterey Bay Areas since its creation in April of 1998. We have become the largest electrical consulting firm in the Monterey, Santa Cruz, San Benito, and San Luis Obispo County areas. We continue to be focused on setting higher standards for electrical engineering design quality and service in Central and Northern California.
Engineering Excellence
Aurum Consulting Engineers is led by a core team of eight electrical project managers with over 100 years of combined electrical engineering experience. We offer a broad spectrum of expertise in design and construction. Our design expertise includes Medical, Commercial, Educational, High Technology, Industrial, Residential, Recreational and Agricultural Facilities. We can offer support from conceptual design through post construction phases of a project, and are equally comfortable teaming with other consultants or taking the lead.
Involvement
One of our eight core project managers is always personally involved in the engineering of every project from beginning to end. The Project Manager is responsible for coordination, design documents, specifications, cost estimates and completion of design on schedule. We believe that this personal involvement is as critical as our extensive engineering expertise in meeting our client’s requirements. Our team has an unparalleled ability to coordinate its work with other design professionals, and the trades.
Construction Documents and Specifications
Quality Engineering without well defined, clear and accurate construction documents, does not allow for good competitive bids or construction of the project. To this end, we constantly emphasize accuracy, readability and clarity of drawings and specifications. All projects receive a complete in house plan check before any documents are issued.

CADD
All drawings are produced on AutoCAD 2008: enhanced with MS Office 2007. Our talented drafting staff has a thorough command of these systems. They are proficient in the use of Electronic Transfer to send and receive documents and drawings.
