The old Rodeo Motel and Restaurant was turned into a sparkling affordable housing and community center for seniors by the Community Housing Improvement Systems and Planning Association (CHISPA). The entire 124-room, threefour-building site and grounds were extensively remodeled. Electrical design included infrastructure to provide individual electric metering, CATV, telephone and fire alarm to the units which included new kitchens. Solar panels power the community areas. This project received the National Association of Home Builder’s “Renovated Housing Gold Winner” and “Judge’s Special Innovation Award.” Aurum is proud of its role in this project which gives so much to the community.
